The "Rapture" Fiasco

Unger goes for the throat in his expose on the fundies and their End of Days dreams. Enjoy.

~~When He arrives on the scene in Glorious Appearing, Christ merely has to speak and "men and women, soldiers and horses, seemed to explode where they stood. It was as if the very words of the Lord had superheated their blood, causing it to burst through their veins and skin." ~~ That's GOTTA hurt.

That is quite different than anything that would make anyone take up arms preceeding that appearing.

You know, I believe in the rapture, and like anyone who can read and chooses to read the Bible, I know that I do not know when it's going to happen, and indeed I'm forbidden from knowing.

What I hear nothing of in the Scriptures is any command, whatsoever, to bring it about.

Jeff points to Old Testament slaughters but there is never any kind of general statement to go forth and kill, not in the name of God or anyone else.

Herbman, how many fundamentalists do you actually KNOW? You can feel free to count me. Does that make one?
