Yeah, well, tough shit for her, I say. She signed up, she should have read the fine print.
If you join the reserves of the largest army in the world assuming it WON'T be deployed, you're a fool who don't deserve my pity.
Oh yeah, and Newsday is a piece of shit, sensationalist rag.
I'm with Germy on this one. Uncle Sam never told her to be a single mom or own a thriving respiratory business. Perhaps if more single moms thought they were going to be re-inducted after 20 years of inactive status, this country wouldn't be in the mess it's in--the mess with all those kids raised by single moms, and an over-supply of respiratory therapy providers. The government needs to stop subsidizing single motherhood and respiratory therapy by not sending single mothers to Iraq. That's what I think.
The government should also shut down NEWSDAY.
