Danish Solidarity

I was looking for some of my fellow Brigadiers when I came across this.

My favorite comment: "Anyone know if Hitch ever lit that goddam cigarette? What, is he in a high school play?"

So Hitchens is not a great demonstration organizer. This is no fatal flaw, since, despite his many execrable traits, he at least writes well. What gets me is that none of the sycophants who huddle around him had the brains/creativity/energy to bring this thing off, or at least come up with more clever chants than "Ho Ho He He / Freedom of speech has got to stay!". They all just show up to pay homage to their master, silently brandishing Legos (though I'm confused: aren't Legos Swedish?).

Regarding the erstwhile KKRB demo: since we are primarily a reading group, it doesn't surprise me much that our ad hoc demonstration, despite its organization by the brainy/creative/energetic Jeff, did not come off. Yippies we ain't. Maybe if there were post-demo lunch plans with Andrew Sullivan, more of us would have shown up.

I think more than 20 minutes notice would have helped also. .

I got sick on Thursday and didn't make it out of bed Friday. Even if healthy, I wouldn't have been able to get out of work (too many meetings already scheduled.)
