The First...
...and, hopefully, last, Pro-Life Monument:
"Monument to Pro-Life: The Birth of Sean Preston," believed Pro-Life's first monument to the 'act of giving birth,' is purportedly an idealized depiction of Britney in delivery. Natural aspects of Spears' pregnancy, like lactiferous breasts and protruding naval, compliment a posterior view that depicts widened hips for birthing and reveals the crowning of baby Sean's head.
The monument also acknowledges the pop-diva's pin-up past by showing Spears seductively posed on all fours atop a bearskin rug with back arched, pelvis thrust upward, as she clutches the bear's ears with 'water-retentive' hands.

The site http://www.send2press.com is very interesting - basically a clearing house for anyone who wants to make his/her event "news." They'll polish up your press release or write one for you, then charge you for targeted distribution - such as the "Blue State Plan" for $279.99.
I couldn't but notice that it "navel" and "complement" are both misspelled. I'd ask for my money back.
About the artist: "Edwards gained some notoriety for the exhibit because some mistakenly believed the death mask was a casting from the actual frozen head of Ted Williams." Ah. It would appear Edwards has purchased the plan where he is writing his OWN press releases.
Still. Love the statue. Monument. Whatever. VIVA PRO-LIFE!!!
I would probably know this if I read the article (the story made the NYT today, by the way), but what's up with that lion's face?
It's a bearskin rug.
"...[A]ccording to gallery co-director, David Kesting, the artist studied a bearskin rug from Canada 'to convey the commemoration of the traditional bearskin rug baby picture.'"
Got it, dude?
