The Kang & Kodos Readers Brigade

This is what is wrong with America today. Never in US history would someone sing a song devoted to their ass.

No,No No. This song is an important political and artistic statement. You are totally missing the deep political and social meaning represented by the butt! I think it was best expressed by rapper Ice Cold in the movie Fear of a Black Hat:

"in political terms.
On your song Booty Juice...

what's the political significance?"

"The butt is like society....which we want to see as being openness and expansion. You understand? But the white man wants to clog it up,
keep it closed. And we tryin' to get a foot up in that motherfucker. So the easiest way
to get your foot in there is... if it's all greased up and ready."

"The butt, that is, a.k.a. society. Right?"

"So what we're saying with Booty Juice is:

When is your butt at its most juiciest? When you dancing. When you doing the nasty,
and stuff like that.

I don't know. I can't speak
for your butt, personally...But I got some suspicions about it....But anyhow, the thing is, you want that sucker nice and greased for you to...slide on in there. And on the political tip, all we sayin' is:

We gonna get that ass."

Well that's just it, MK. The ass has a rich history of description in both poetry and song, yet it's usually someone else's ass being considered. For example, we all like big buts and we cannot lie, and a fine, greased up ass is surely a superior engine for a kicking to an inferior product.

And yet, songs extolling the virtue of our own asses have been absent, and that for good reason.

Maybe I am missing the deeper meaning behind this Poet Laureate's recent work. Perhaps my assless paradigm is further proof of the man's strangle-hold on my worldview and musical expectations. I should not be condemning Fergie, I should be thanking her for both her music AND her lovely lady lumps.

Our society is DOOMED, DOOMED, DOOMED! Is Citizen Kang's year out yet on DVD?

S-Tard, your assless paradigm is undoubtedly *part* of the problem, (whatever problem that may be), but I agree that songs about one's own ass are symptomatic of the crisis of excess narcissism in our society, regardless of the po-mo bullshit Mark is spewing.
