Parental Licensure Now

I'm sure that the vast majority of single mothers with live in boyfriends don't engage in criminally neglectful behavior towards their children, but it doesn't take Charles Darwin to figure out that, in such a situation, the chances that a baby's welfare will be carefully looked after are significantly decreased (it just takes Charles Darwin to explain why).

Hi Jeff,

I'm always torn. On the one hand, I'm glad whenever people choose not to abort their children, but I'm even happier when they give their children up for adoption rather than try to raise the child themselves.

I have to pass a test if I want to shoot a deer, but I can have as many children as I want (er, as many as my wife will bear for me). The answer is in a change in societal attitudes. If we valued two parent households the same way that we do lip synching winos, a desired end would be inevitable.

The state should just take these kids away and place them with people who truly want them. Like these couples:

Problem solved.
That pesky pool entrapment problem will still remain, but I'm sure our best minds are working on that one.
